Learning Pedagogy
We provide our students with a conducive learning environment so that they can explore themselves beyond textbooks. At GEMS, students are always encouraged to participate in group discussions and analyse case studies. Ample project work is assigned to them besides daily class-work/ home assignments, and they make presentations in the class individually or in a group. In addition, they are encouraged to use Internet and library resources to enhance their reading skills, and broaden the horizon of their knowledge. We believe that knowledge cannot be imposed on an individual but needs to be nurtured. Talk programmes are held frequently, at least once a month, on various subjects/ areas for which renowned personalities are invited as guest speakers to share their knowledge, experiences and achievements with our students to encourage, and familiarise them with the subjects/ profession they are involved in. The whole learning process is aimed at focusing on their personality development.
We keep a maximum of thirty six students in one class so that lecturers/ faculty can give individual attention to all students, and slow learners are identified, counseled, and given extra care.
